F# Tuning 5 String Bass help?
I’m planning on getting a 5 string, filing the nut down so I can fit strings for F# tuning,
(so F#, B, E, A, D)
Il replace the pickups with EMGs if theyre not already on the bass.
How crazy is this? Will it work? Any tips or suggestions?
I’ve filed nuts before, but not for different tunings…
That sounds fine to me, and you’re absolutely insane with your tuning!! 
But I love it. I fixed up a 4-string once to work for a G, C, F, Bb tuning. Craziness!! But mine was tuned UP to that, are you tuning yours down to F#!? Because that would be sick nasty son.
