what the best way to halter break ayearling bull or cow?
i am trying to halter break a yearling bull and a yearling cow, i have already tried tieing it to my donkey , but that didnt work because the donkey was smaller and all they did was play tug a war and the donkey eventually some how got rope burns.i tried tieing them to a post for a few days,like you do a horse to get them to lead from a halter,but no luck!so i would appreciate any other serious help i could get from someone who knows something about these kind of things!
HOnestly this sounds very mean, but if you truly have a yearling than it should be close to 700-900 pounds and pulling behind a tractor was how we broke our bigger steers for fair. It’s far easier to do when they are little and they make much better show animals when started out small. If you need further advice or help, contacting you local agricultural extension office and being referred to a local cattle breeder in your area would ba a good step.
