silicone pad on raised scar? does it work?
the type of scar your talking about is called a hypertrophic scar.
Yes i have heard that silicone pads do work especially well with raised scars, but i can not tell you from experience because they are very expensive i have stuck to creams..
I have quite a few self harm scars on my arm and 7 of them are hypertrophic which is terrible because until you feel it they look like they’re recent which leads to people thinking i still have depression problems. ANYWAYS sorry yea If you decide to not go with them go to your doctor and get a perscribed ointment/cream or they may perscibe a pad and can tell you exactly what type will help with your scars Good luck!
