Has anyone used either of these bareback pads?
I want a bareback pad I can use for pony rides and for light ride without all my normal tack but, I’d like to be able to mount from the ground if possible. I know stirrups are dangerous on these but which ever one I get I am only going to use them for mounting and also will replace with Peacock Safety stirrups.

I personally don’t use bareback pads. I don’t mind getting my butt all dirty, lol. But, if I were to use one, I would like one that didn’t have stirrups or handles. But since you want one with stirrups so you can mount from the ground, I’d go for the one in the second link. The first one has that hard handle, which could potentially be dangerous if you lost balance and came too far forward or something.
Edit::: I had an epiphany… Even though a bareback pad has stirrups, you’re still not going to be able to mount from the ground. Bareback pads don’t have trees or bars, meaning there is nothing keeping it centered on the horse’s back. When you go to put your foot in the stirrup and mount, it’s going to slide sideways. That pad in the first link sort of has a tree, where the handle is attached. But I still don’t advise getting that pad. You might just have to practice vaulting up and mounting from the ground by jumping.
